Statement: Readdressing Rust

This group of multi-media work is inspired by discarded piles of damaged porcelain enameled bathtubs. These bathtubs were once shiny, proud appointments to newly constructed apartment homes. They had an intimate connection to the individuals who lived there over the years. Thru demolition, the porcelain was broken into shards and the exposed metal was left to rust, an inescapable reminder of the impermanence of these dwellings.
